With Jimmy Butler set to clear Covid-19 protocols today lets talk about how the Heat have been doing.

It hasn’t been that bad and I am being a tad overdramatic. I know that we have had a lot of backups and below backup level players in and that doesn’t help the problem but we are second to last in turnovers. The Heat are averaging 1 turnover about every 2 minutes and 45 seconds. We are at the middle or bottom of the league for almost any stat that has any importance. And Jimmy coming back might not be enough to fix them to return to the NBA Finals.
I want to believe it will. I want to believe that what we saw against the Nets with Jimmy out is a positive sign only losing by 4 with your best defensive player out is a good thing.
But until we stop turning the ball over like it is a hot potato that won’t happen. We don’t need to to be the Spurs and lead the league but we do need to consistently be lower than our opponent by 3-4 turnovers a game. This sloppy form which can be rust from returning form the Covid protocol or having a random assortment of players on the court needs to start to be figured out.
